An American science-fiction magazine, Cosmos was launched by Star Publications after the introduction of the Comics Code had had a deleterious effect on their string of comic-book titles. It was launched at the same time as Star launched a crime magazine, Pursuit. When Star cancelled Cosmos after four issues, they replaced it with another crime magazine, Hunted.
