AbstractHistoryArchive Description

When the great Indonesian tiger, Suma, was dying he sent for Tikkia, the eagle. Suma asked Tikkia to take a message to his cousin Thylacine in Australia. Tikkia flew over the centre of Australia but thought it too dry so continued on to Tasmania. He asked a number of animals and birds of Tasmania for guidance. He visited many areas of the island including mountains, beaches, rivers, Port Arthur and Hobart in an attempt to find Thylacine. Eventually, he became aware of a presence deep in a rainforest. Was this the elusive Thylacine?
