"A study was made of all twentieth century Australian children's fiction for readers aged eight to sixteen in order to detirmine themes, categories and popularity of works in French translation. The most popular author in translation was Colin Thiele. The most popular category of fiction selected by the French for translation was adventure, with animal stories also popular to a lesser degree."
