Notes:
Adapted from the work of Martial (Marcus Valerius Martialis). Duggan has advised that he based these adaptations on the English translation of Martial 's Epigrams by Walter Charles Alan Ker. (First published London: Heinemann, 1919-1920; revised 1968)
Notes:
At the author's suggestion, the word Martial has been added to the numberings of the individual poems to assist in identification when reprinted.
