'Fourteen Australian writers share their experiences of being a writer in Paris for six months seeking new experiences and fresh perspectives. Authors were selected through the Australia Council for the Arts Literature Fund, and in stayed in a studio made available in 1985 by poet and author Nancy Keesing, in order 'to do something constructive for Australian writers'.
