AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The study aims to locate Jones within social and cultural contexts to demonstrate his significance as a figure in the development of "Anglo-Welsh" poetry. The authors draw extensively on unpublished sources, particularly Jones's handwritten "Black Book" which contains, in chronological order, nearly all his poems written between 20 May 1950 and 26 September 1964.
