Notes

  • Includes several illustrations (mostly reproductions of SF book covers).
  • In this article, Stone also 'claims' Sir Julius Vogel's Anno Domini 2000; or Woman's Destiny for Australian literature. Vogel spent some time in Australia before settling in New Zealand where he pursued a political career, including a number of terms as Prime Minister. Anno Domini 2000 is better-known as New Zealand's first science fiction novel and has been reprinted a number of times.
