Trend Books is a 'series of readers for slow adolescent readers, mostly written by Bettina Bird, sometimes in collaboration with Ian Falk and also under various pseudonyms. This series was first published in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with reprints and additional titles added throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
First published by Cheshire, then Cheshire Ginn, and recently by Longman Cheshire, most titles have been reprinted annually since first publication. The series consists of three sections; Trend Books, Approach Trend and Trendset, the later intended for adolescent readers. In subsequent reprints some titles changed category and covers were updated with new illustrations. A number of titles were also published overseas.'
