Ian Austin’s most produced play, Down Came a Jumbuck is a satire on how 'Waltzing Matilda' might have been written if left to an 1880’s advertising agency.
Notes
Down Came a Jumbuck has been toured by the Royal Queensland Theatre Company and studied as part of the Queensland Education Deptartment's External English curriculum.
The play was republished by Thomas Nelson Australia in the volume Enter the Players.

First performed 29 April 1983 at the Brisbane CAE for the opening of the 1983 Queensland Playwrights' Conference.
