Martin discusses the unpublished love poetry that Fullerton wrote for her life-long friend Mabel Singelton. These poems are examined in the light of the discourses of homosexuality, such as Edward Carpenter's The Intermediate Sex, that were available to Fullerton in the first decades of the twentieth century.
