Joan Lindsay remembers visiting the author Angela Thirkell at the latter's home in Malvern, Victoria, and meeting her again a few years later at Professor Orme Masson's house at Melbourne University. Lindsay dates her first meeting with Thirkell as during World War I but it was probably in the early 1920s.
