The editorial for the inaugural issue asserts the journal's aim of providing a forum for predominanly emerging writers and makes the following statement : 'We welcome short stories, poetry, argument, opinion, letters ... pretty well anything. We encourage those interested in journalism to submit work in that vein. We are looking for cartooonists who can make comment on current issues in the media. And, if there are budding designers out there, show us your style.'
