Production Details

  • Original production was in two parts: Testament of Youth and Testament of Hope. It made its debut at the Araluen Centre for Arts and Entertainment, Alice Springs, 23 April 1994. 'Requiem: Testament of Youth' was performed at the Australian War Memorial, in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, 10 November 1994, by the Centre Stage Theatre of Alice Springs. Major adjustments were made to the script and staging to accommodate the outdoor performance space. The play was also staged at Queanbeyan High School, Canberra High School and at the Australian National University in the day and a half leading up to it's performance at the Australian War Memorial. On 11 November 1994, the Canberra Youth Theatre and Centre Stage Theatre held a combined workshop at Gorman House.
