  • DRAMA BIB Notes: Volume One contains: 'Queen's Love, a tragic play in five acts' (written 1838 and first produced at the Royal Victoria Theatre, Sydney, 29 September 1845, and later in Melbourne); 'Regulus, a tragedy in five acts' (written 1838); 'De Rullecourt; or, Jersey Invaded: a historical tragedy in three acts' (written 1829); 'Loreda, a romantic drama in three acts' (written 1828) and a series of poems entitled 'Fancy's Gathering of Waifs and Strays'. Volume Two contains: 'Our First Lieutenant: a nautical farce in two acts' (written 1829 and first produced at the Caledonian Theatre, Edinburgh, 6 January 1830 and in Hobart at the Royal Victoria Theatre, 5 July 1843); also contains three prose pieces: 'The Three Sisters of Devon'; 'Blarney'; 'St Salvador' and 'A Tale of the Pacific'. The first collection of plays published in Australia.
