  • According to Philip Jones, writing in an article entitled 'They Still Call Australia' (published in The Age, 4 March 2006), The Bunyip and the Satellite was based on Frank Dalby Davison's childrens' novel Children of the Dark People.

Production Details

  • First produced at the National Theatre, Eastern Hill, Melbourne on 27 December 1957. Subsequently produced at the Independent Theatre, Sydney in May 1958.
