A conversation in two parts recorded during the Adelaide Festival of 1980. Suzanne Hayes talks to the Tasmanian novelist in a conversation based on his prize winning book, The Year of Living Dangerously, but branching off to Koch's other writings, to his beliefs, and to the effect of his environment on his writing. Additional explanatory material has been added. The complete set of tapes in this series, together with an accompanying booklet is available as a course from the Open College of Further Education, South Australia.
