AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Tessa, by eating the magic seeds, shrinks in "Alice" fashion to the size of a white ant. She is then able to visit a white ant "city," and learn all about their civilisation. The book is an astonishing collection of nature-lore couched in the form of juvenile fiction, and a great deal of excellent information is conveyed in this "true" fairy story.'
