Simi’s stay with her cousin Daniel and his family presented difficulties. Daniel is confined to a wheelchair, but his negative moods and doting mother prove to be his real handicap. Simi looks to kite flying as a way to improve Daniel’s attitude to life. This activity solves some problems, but results in an accident that places Simi in a wheelchair.
The drama of the accident brings new understandings among the characters.
