'The irrepressible Bricky is responsible for most of the excitement in the peaceful town of Riverbend, on the Murray River. Bricky sells his own empty bottles back to the shopkeeper, and catches frogs to send to a professor in Melbourne. He shows his common sense as he saves his goats from the flood, and traces his father when it seems he might be sent into an institution. His adventures are continued in Bricky and the Hobo (1964)."
