AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A little town mouse called Pepita lives next door to the Theatre Royal, in London. Her boyfriend Jonathan lives inside the theatre. When the Theatre is wiped out, Pepita’s home ruined, and Jonathan killed in an air raid, Pepita hops onto an army lorry and leaves the ruined area. She goes to the country, and quickly meets up with a field mouse called Pip, and a ‘conceited wretch’ of a circus mouse called Pedro, both of whom court her with chocolates and flowers. Who will win Pepita’s heart?
