Foreword, John Taylor , single work criticism
John Taylor provides biographical background on Luigi Strano, and remarks on his contribution to Italian literature in Australia. 'Luigi Strano is very far from being an assimilated Australian,' Taylor writes, 'but no one was ever better integrated. And though most of his fellow Australians can not read his words, he has endowed them with a solid if not highly visible bridge, over which others may be encouraged to pass' (9).
