'Greg is alone. He wants to join in, but he doesn't quite belong. And he's always last. Last in spelling, last in mental arithmetic and last in races - even though he can run very fast. Then one day, a new teacher arrives at the school. She watches Greg and is puzzled. But then she understands. Now it's a different race!'
