  • Author's note: Sri Lanka is a tropical paradise in which the Fall of Man recurs endlessly - but with increasing complexity and bitterness. These poems uncover an experience and innocence in the face of coming tragedy. The main part of this collection was written in Sri Lanka in January 1973, half a year after the publication of Twenty Four A.M.
