'One people, one destiny'; first line: Washed by the waves and circled by the sea, Australia, federated, fears no foe'(p.48)
and
'Christmas morning on the blue mountains'; first line: While o'er the distant hills the white wreaths hang, of morning mist and closely clinging cloud, Across the valley comes the echoing clang, of cattle bells, ringing now low, now loud;'(pp.49-50).
