Bill Sunset captures a strange, gentle, elephant-like creature and takes him to New York where he intends to sell him to a circus. He calls him Mick and is convinced he has been alive for thousands of years. He searches for someone who speaks an ancient language the creature will understand, but when he finds a Hebrew-speaking rabbi the outcome for Mick is tragic.
