This journal began as an avenue 'for young Christians to share their own reponses to God, in their own way - poetry, stories, artwork, melodies, song lyrics'. (Christians Writing no.1, p.[8].) The journal subsequently dropped its age limitiation, but continued its Christian perspective, describing itself as a journal that 'publishes work of literary merit, offers a venue for new and aspiring writers, and seeks to create a sense of community among christians writing'.
