Notes

  • Author's note: Around the Ingham district of North-East Queensland a large snake known locally as the Traveller Brown would put in an appearance from time to time.
In the neighbouring town of Innisfail they knew it as the Horse Snake.
No one even suspected that it might in fact be the deadly Taipan, until another Traveller Brown came on the scene, a young Australian-born Indian who was destined to change the ecological face of Queensland.
