Biographical account of the relationship between HHR and her sister 'from their arrival in London as girls in 1888 until Lil's involvement in the educational projects of her second husband (A. S. Neill) at Summerhill. In light of Dorothy Green's account of the importance of early sibling rivalry between them, this is a noteworthy study' (Elliott, Henry Handel Richardson [1975] 162).
