AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'This article rejects the 'idealist conception of the artist as genius', instead proposing "training" in technique for the production of art from the 'unity of knowledge and experience'. It is argued that such unity "leads the artist to the philosophy of dialectical materialism".' Source: Reason in Revolt website.
