  • Dedication: For all those who are surviving the daily anguish of living longer than the children who died.
  • The anthology opens with William Wordsworth's ' Surprised by Joy' and a note from the editor explaining that '"Surprised by Joy" opened the door to this anthology - the realisation someone else had found there was something worse than the death of a child.'
