Notes

  • Author's note: In May 1985 Tasmanian Aboriginals held a private ritual at Oyster Cover to cremate the bones of 300 identified ancestors. Included in the remains were a number of reclaimed bones previously held by the Tasmanian Museum, Hobart. Oyster Cover has now been declared an Aboriginal Sacred Site.
