AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Stories of the River at first hand, the customs and the characters, have been put together in this novel to reveal a fascinating picture of life on the Hawkesbury from the earliest colonial days up till the present time. There were both similarities and contrasts between Aboriginal and European medicine. There are also strangely repetitious incidents, doubly interesting in that the historical background is completely authentic and truly Australian. (Source: Preface)
