    Did you wonder on such beauty? Oh, you did. Yes, so did I.

    Did you notice how the spurs dropped to the gullies past your view?
    Was the scene beyond defining; all the mauve and hazy blue?
    Did the abstract art of nature far surpass all else you knew?
    Did you marvel at creation? Oh, you did. yes, I did too.

    Did the snow gums play soft music when the mountain breezes blew?
    Did you see the fine-knit lacework in the shadows that they drew?
    Did the stars above shine brightly? Did they thrill you through and through?
    Yes I'm sure they did, that's why I wrote these verses, just for you.
