This version follows the MS of 'Outre Mer', which is held at the Mitchell Library, Sydney. It appears to have been first published in the Australian Town and Country Journal in September 1882, within an article titled 'An Unpublished Poem by Henry Kendall'.
First line of verse: "I see, as one in dreaming"
Notes:
This version involves a number of minor changes to the one that appeared in the Australian Town and Country Journal in September 1882. This version first appeared in the 1886 collection, Poems of Henry Kendall (the first collection of Kendall's poems to be published after his death).
