Notes

  • Dedication: To Walter Lowenfels
    Touting for tips, we slacked too long;
    we sheathed the two-edged knife of song.
    Now, beaten up and feeling sore,
    we turn to our old loves once more.
    Beauty's our duty, truth's our youth:
    young again, mate Beauty and Truth.
    Deepen Life and in that light
    suddenly summon Wrong and Right
    Make thought jump with threefold Vision
    and save our good craft from derision.
