Notes

  • Author's note: As always, subject matter dictates form. A play about local government, by its very nature, needed to be a farce. This is not because local government is itself farcical. However over the past few years, change has been foisted upon it with such force and rapidity that it does appear to have become something of a comedy routine. To the casual punter like myself, once a citizen, now a customer, the changes in local government seem emblematic of many of the ideological shifts occurring not just locally, but globally.... Hannie Rayson.
