Tammy Solonec is a sister of Kylie Solonec and the daughter of Cindy Solonec.
She is a lawyer and a Director of the National Congress of Australia's First Peoples. In October 2011, NAIDOC admitted Tammy to the national committee. She was interviewed by Stephan Hagan in the National Indigenous Times and wrote her first feature piece for the magazine in October 2011.
