Melbourne-based publisher established by The Big Issue founder Graeme Wise and by former travel writer Martin Hughes.
According to the publisher's website, their program can be summarised as :
'publishing books that have a positive impact on the community and that influence by delight rather than being earnest or 'right-on'. When it comes to fiction, we want to publish new and under-published authors - in any genre - and distinguish ourselves through our editorial commitment.'
Affirm Press published both fiction and non-fiction, including a series of Slow guides to cities in Australia and overseas. Titles released to date include Melbourne, Sydney, London, and Dublin.
In 2018, Affirm Press engaged international agency Rights People to represent its children's list.
