BiographyHistory

Harold Robbins was an American author, born to wealthy Russian and Polish immigrants. He lived in Brooklyn, New York, and wrote over twenty novels, many of which were best-sellers and broke new ground in racy content for popular novels. His books The Inheritors, The Adventurers, The Carpetbaggers and 79 Park Avenue were banned in Australia in the 1950s and 1960s. He is included in AustLit because these works appear in the Banned in Australia subset.
