Peter MacGregor and his wife, Wendy, worked for four years as Itinerant Teachers for the Primary Correspondence School. They lived in Georgetown and visited children throughout the Gulf region who were enrolled at the Cairns and Mt Isa School of the Air. When their son Duncan was born, Peter and Wendy left this job to live at Tolga on the Atherton Tableland.
