BiographyHistory

Glasgow served in the Boer War and with the AIF in World War I. He rose to the rank of Major-General and was made a Companion of St Michael and St George (CMG) (1916) and a Companion of the Bath (CB) (1917) and was created a Knight Commander of the Bath (KCB) (1919). Glasgow represented the Nationalists in the Federal Parliament and was later appointed first Australian High Commissioner to Canada.
