BiographyHistory

McGarry was a lay missionary of the Sacred Heart Order in Alice Springs, Northern Territory 1935-1945, and a protector of Aborigines from 1942. He established a mission at Arltunga and then joined the Territory's Native Affairs Branch. His cause for beatification was sent to the Vatican in 1970.
