BiographyHistory

Yvette Christianse migrated with her parents via Swaziland to Australia when she was eighteen. In 1988 she commenced her BA in English at the University of Sydney, where she later graduated with a PhD in English.

  • Christianse is also the author of a poetry leaflet, "Driving with Daddy" (1990) and editor of "The Phoenix Review". She was the recipient of the Harri Jones Memorial Prize for Australian Poetry in 1987 and the 1990 Henry Lawson Poetry Prize.
