BiographyHistory

Kirra Somerville is a descendent of the Martu people from the Western Desert region of Western Australia. When she was nine years old, Somerville wrote The Lizard Gang, a prize winning story in the 2004 WA Children's Book Council of Australia 'Make Your Own Storybook Competition.' Kirra is the daughter of Craig Somerville (q.v.).
