BiographyHistory

General Peter Cosgrove is the former head of the Armed Forces. In this capacity he the international peacekeeping force to East Timor in 1999.

Cosgrove delivered the 2009 Boyer lectures, entitled 'A Very Australian Conversation,' where he covers a series of topics such as: 'Australia's regional relationships, leadership the Australian way, on sociological changes I have observed over my lifetime, and on those great political issues which I think resonate with the Common Man (like me!)'.
