BiographyHistory

Variety performer and actress. The daughter of prominent variety artists Sam and Myra Gale, Sadie first began appearing on stage with her father as a child in the early years of the twentieth century. Following the death of her father in 1912, she and her mother developed a song, dance, and patter act that they toured under the billing of Gale and Sadie. Sadie Gale was later associated with George Wallace's revusical company, before teaming up with Roy Rene, both professionally and personally. The pair were married in 1929, immediately following Rene's divorce from his first wife, Dorothy Davis.
