BiographyHistory

Claudia Roschka completed her secondary education and studied electro-technology at the University of Kharkov for two and a half years. With her family she left Kharkov in 1943 just prior to its being retaken by the Red Army. In 1945, while teaching at an English-language school in Germany, she met her future husband. After settling in Adelaide, she began to write as well as reciting and amateur acting in Ukrainian theatre groups. Her poetry has been published in the Ukrainian newspapers Free Thought and Ukrainian Settler and in several magazines
