BiographyHistory

It has recently been established that H. E. Marshall, one of the most popular writers for children, particularly of history books, in the early years of the 20th century, wrote at least some of her books while living in Australia, including the immensely popular Our Empire Story (1908), still in print in 2006. Among her many other works are The Child's English Literature (1909) and Kings and Things (1937).
