BiographyHistory

John Egan was educated at Homebush Boys' High School and Macquarie University, from which he received both a BA/Dip.Ed. and an MA. He taught English and History at high schools (including Trinity Grammar School and Bankstown Grammar School), Business English (at June Dally-Watkins Business College), and English to Overseas Students and university preparation courses (at the University of New South Wales, Wollongong University, Uniworld College, and the University of Newcastle).

He was a widely published poet, with books including Not the Rain, the Wind (MUP, 2006), Lines Continue Forever (Ginninderra, 2014), and Reworkings (Ginninderra, 2014).
