BiographyHistory

Ned Pines' company Pines Publications added a paperback line, Popular Library, in 1942. The Popular Library imprint mirrored the format of Pocket Books by offering cheap (25c) reprints of mystery novels. Australian authors include D'Arcy Niland's Woman From the Country [sic](NY Times 4 June 1966). In 1982 most of Popular Library's assets were sold to Warner Books and the imprint ended.
